A tablet for someone you want to keep close
Grandsapp turns an ordinary Android tablet into a calm screen: a large clock, the photos the family sends, reminders read aloud, short messages and a one-tap video call. The family sets it all up from their phones.
How to start Open the family app
Grandsapp is for families, and for the tablet in the home of someone for whom phones and apps are too much.
For the person with the tablet: no account, no password, no typing. Big buttons, large text, one tap. During the quiet hours the family picks, the tablet shows only a dimmed clock and makes no sound.
For the family: the Grandsapp for the family app on the phone, in the browser at app.mygrands.app. In it you send photos, set reminders, record messages, call the tablet and choose what the tablet shows.
What the tablet shows
- The time and the date, large, by day and by night.
- Outside: the forecast for the place the family picks, with a short tip.
- Photos the family sends, with a caption and the sender's name.
- Reminders: a chime and a sentence read aloud at the set time, then one button to confirm. If a reminder is not confirmed, the family can find out on their phones.
- I need: big buttons for things to bring, or a voice note to the family. The tablet shows who is bringing what.
- Messages: voice and video messages from the family. They play on a tap, never by themselves.
- Call: a one-tap video call to the family. When someone the family allows calls, the tablet can answer by itself.
Private from day one
What the family sends, photos, messages, reminders, the list and the board, is encrypted end to end: only the family's phones and tablet hold the family's key, and our server sees only encrypted packets. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. Read how we handle data.
